The prescription in your hand does most of the work. A lens for astigmatism is a toric lens, and it carries a cylinder and an axis value in addition to sphere power. A multifocal carries an add power. If your prescription lists neither, you are on a standard spherical lens.
Beyond that, the choice between the families comes down to material and fit rather than anything you can read off a box, which is why it is a decision your fitter makes with you. Both are worn for a single day and both are ordered in the pack sizes shown on each product page.
Contact lenses are prescription products. We need a current, valid prescription for the exact lens, and the brand, power, base curve and diameter all have to match what is written on it. If your prescription has expired, or you have never worn this lens before, book with your eye doctor first. Tinted lenses are prescription products too, including plano versions with no correction in them.
