Two decisions, and both are about volume. The first is pack size. A 20 pack suits a practice adding point of care testing to its workflow or running it selectively. The case is priced for clinics testing routinely, and the per box cost drops accordingly.
The second is control sets. They are ordered alongside test packs, not instead of them, and they support your quality control routine rather than adding to your testable capacity. Order them according to the schedule your practice already follows.
Point of care kits carry storage requirements and dating, so it is usually better to order to your real monthly usage than to stock deep and risk holding kits past their useful window. Selection, running and interpretation of these tests all sit with the licensed practice.
