MacuHealth is a dietary supplement in softgel form. This item is a 2-pack of the 90 softgel bottle, so it contains 180 softgels in total. The serving size is 1 softgel and there are 90 servings per bottle, so at the labelled serving of one softgel daily the 2-pack is a 180 day, roughly six month, supply. It is a triple carotenoid formula containing lutein, meso-zeaxanthin and zeaxanthin, the three carotenoids found in macular pigment, in a 10:10:2 ratio. It is gluten free and uses micro-micelle technology.
This is a daily carotenoid supplement, taken as one softgel with a meal and kept up as an ongoing routine rather than used occasionally, which is why it is sold here as a 2-pack of 180 softgels covering roughly six months. People reach for a triple carotenoid formula when they want all three of the macular pigment carotenoids in a single softgel rather than as part of a larger multivitamin.

The manufacturer's own product page publishes a different list for the same product, with "Sunflower Lecithin" in place of Tween 80 and Soy Lecithin, and groups the shell as "Gelatin Capsule (Gelatin, Glycerin, Purified Water, Annatto)". Both lists are reproduced here because they do not agree. The list above is the one on the label record.

I imagine they are working as I have not taken them for a long time in order to notice. I was prescribed with dry macular degeneration many years ago. I used to take Lumega Z which was prescribed by a low vision opthlmologist. Unfortunately, the lab that produced them, suddenly stopped producing them.

I tried the Macu Health and it caused me to have severe stomach upset. I actually tried it the first time and was sick waited 1 week to try it again and I was sick again so unfortunately it is not for me.
