The adult serving is 3 teaspoons, about 13.4 mL, and provides 1500 mg of EPA and 1500 mg of DHA. The oil is full spectrum fish liver oil and it contains other omega-3s in addition to EPA and DHA. It contains 8 calories per mL, which is 40 calories per teaspoon. People buy the bottle rather than the vials for flexible dosing, because the amount can be measured by the teaspoon for adults and for children. The oil can be taken straight or stirred into cold foods such as salad dressing, yogurt or juice. It is a cold chain product, shipped cold and kept in the refrigerator or the freezer from the moment it arrives.
